Welcome to Umoona Tjutagku Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (UTHSAC).
Umoona Tjutagku Health Service was established in 2005 to address the specific medical needs of the Aboriginal people in Coober Pedy. The organisation has expanded steadily over the past seven and a half years to provide a comprehensive range of medical, dental and social services for our community.
The Aboriginal people of this community have named our health service building Tjinkuma in recognition of the dedicated service spanning many years by Sister Vicki McCormack. Sister Vicki’s life work was caring for the health needs of the Umoona Community which she served from 1975 until her retirement in 1999.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sister Vicki for the sacrifices and hard work that she has given to us to help make our organisation what it is today.
We hope that you will enjoy looking and reading our news and information that we have to share.
If you have any Comments or feedback regarding the services we provide or our website we would love to hear back from you so that we can improve our services to the community.
Hope you enjoy!
