Umoona Tjutagku Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (UTHSAC) is a community controlled Primary Healthcare Service located in Coober Pedy, and serving the Indigenous population of Coober Pedy and surrounding Regions. It is governed by an Indigenous Board chosen from within the community. Umoona Tjutagku Health Service offers services in the areas of Primary Healthcare, Chronic Disease Management, Healthy Lifestyles, Substance Misuse, Social and Emotional wellbeing, Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention and After Hours Mental Health.

The position level and the annual salary are consistent with UTHSAC’s Enterprise Agreement.

Quality and Policy Development

 

  • Pro-actively contribute to the development, refinement and implementation of systems of continuous quality improvement throughout UTHS.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes to improve patient and organisational outcomes and achieve quality standards such as QIC7 and AGPAL.
  • Maintain the Document Register in order to achieve and maintain quality standards such as QIC7 and AGPAL.
  • Facilitate/Participate in-house training of staff in the use of the Quality Management System (LogiQC) and appropriate UTHSAC documentation and reporting requirements for accreditation purposes.
  • Acknowledge an understanding and knowledge in Quality Management System (LogiQC).
  • Participate in Quality Management Training to meet accreditation requirements.

 

 

Employment Contracts

 

With our confidence upon government funding to conduct the wide variety of programs we do, all staff positions are dependent upon specific funding being received. Our positions may require pre-employment checks such as verification of qualifications, child related employment screening, criminal records check or health checks.
